Problem with connecting to the office LAN after TCP/IP configurati

I have a new laptop that has 2 network cards & was configured well to join
the office workgroup but the problem is that i cannot gain access to the
network and the internet gateway although other computers can see mine but
cannot access it.
whenever they try to connect, an error message comes up saying my comp is
inaccessible and that they have to contact the network administrator who is
non-existent .please help.

What changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? It
sounds like your computer has an active firewall that has not been
configured to allow file and printer sharing. What firewall are you
running?
