problem with cd recorder

Please, I need that someone help me with this problem, please. I have Windows
xp in a Packard Bell. The problem is the following one: the system does not
recognize the CD recorder in softwares like recordnow! or the nero burning
ROM, but the windows mediaplayer recognize the CD recorder. What I can do so
that the CD recorder was recognized in all recording software? beforehand,

Check the properties of the CD Burner drive and click on the recording tab. If the
check mark to enable recording is checked, uncheck it and hit apply and then recheck
it and hit apply. If that doesn’t work see:
