whenever i get a new email a notification pops up and says the name of the
sender and the topic however, it does not leave a folder in my system tray
that i have new unopened items. In the past it would leave this response, but
one day i right clicked on the folder in the taskbar and chose to hide the
folder. Ever since then it hasnt worked. Yes, i did go into the taskbar
properties and picked to always show this notification but it still not
working. Anybody got any suggestions?

Don't know if you're still having problems with
this? (It was a long time ago!)
I have just had the same problem - right
clicked the envelope icon in system tray and hid
it - then couldn't get it back again...
To get it back, in Outlook go to Tools,
Options... E-mail options...
(If you don't want the pop-up notification,
take the tick out of 'Display a notification
message when new mail arrives)
Then go to Advanced E-mail options...
Tick the 'Show an envelope icon in the system
tray icon' option
(When you right click the icon in the system
tray and hide it, this tick disappears)
Hope this helps :)
