Problem using sysprep

I am trying to create a master disk image of a drive.
I run
C:\SYSPREP\sysprep.exe
The computer shuts down.
The I have to input serial number on reboot.
When does the image go? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Hmmm, I hope I understand you situation here. Sysprep will only prepare your
setup for immaging. You need a third party product to immage disk, like
symantec ghost or similar.
