problem typing text in Word 2003

I have a new computer with Word 2003 already installed in through Office
Basic Edition 2003. This is the first document i am trying to create in Word
on this computer. When I type a line of text, the curser begins to move away
from the text I am typing as though it is jumping ahead on the same line,
then the text I am typing starts to skip spaces, and delete characters that
are at least 5 to 10 spaces behind the curser. This is a very hard phenomenon
to describe. I cannot create a coherent piece of text with this happening. It
is like it is possessed. Why? How do I fix it?

sounds like you need some security. With new computers, it if very common
for them to accquire viruses, spyware, and possibly even a hacker or two
with their first apperances on the internet. Sounds like maybe someone has
infiltrated your system and is messing with you while you type, are any other
weird things occuring outside of word. (ex. icons being deleted, cursor
jumping around the screen, computer randomly shutting down) theses are all
things that malicious intruders do to mess with their targets, make sure you
download Service Pack 2 from www.microsoft.com and look into some systems
security, i highly recommend Norton Antivirus, and if you have the means,
Norton Systems Works.
