Problem trying to install Q329623

As soon as I try to install, I get a message which reads: Setup could not
verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic
service is running on this computer. The installation of the update then
stops. I need this file in order to install my new Epson 3200 Pro scanner.
Any suggestions?

click start --> run --> services.msc then double-click
Cryptographic service and click start. You might also
need to go to Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and start that
before the Cryptographic Service. Try and install it
again after.

Rename the folder windows\system32\catroot2 and reboot. That will
generate a new, clean folder, and you can then delete the renamed one.

Then get - only - Q817287 and install it, which should now be OK. It
is the cure for the problem: you should then be able to carry on with
other updates, and the problem will not recur
