Problem to change password

We have problem with users that are part of a W2K domain.

Users can change password when using ctrl+alt+del

But when users get request to change password.
They accept this and ckick OK.
Then they write in the old password and a new one and click OK.
Then a message popup telling them that they not have access to change password.
What could be the problem?
This problem is not all the time but now and then.

Hi,

When you are prompted to change your password you should log on to he domaain first then use Ctrl Alt Del and choose the option to change your password. You should do this as of Restrict Anonomyous is being enforced.

We are having the same problem... When logged in a user can change their
password but not when it has expired, or they are forced to because they
forgot it...

I found this on the microsoft site and maybe it will help.

When you try to log on to a computer, you may be prompted to change
your password. After you enter your new password, you may receive the
following error message:
You do not have permission to change your password.

CAUSE
This issue may occur if all of the following conditions are true:
? The Windows Server 2003 domain controller has the NT4Emulator
value enabled.
? The client is running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1).
