problem sharing external drive on net

my one comp has a external HD that every time I try to
access it on the network, i get a message saying I might
not have permission to access the folder, but it is set
for me to access it, and at the bottom, it says not
enough server storage to process this command
 
Try deleting the network client for micrsoft networking and then put it
back.Worked for me... If you have ( )'s around one or both of the
cumputer names when you view the workgroup then this will work..You must
do it for all the machines that that have the ()'s around the names.
Then you have to go back and turn sharing on for each device on all
machines.
