Problem Saving Files From Vuescan

B

Brian

For years Vuescan has automatically saved my .tif files to a
particular folder and then opened the folder in Photoshop. For some
reason VueScan has all of a sudden started saving the files as
something called "20" files rather than .tif files, even though I
still have the same tif options checked under the Output tab that I've
always had checked. I've never heard of a "20" file and have no clue
as to what it is but it can't be opened in Photoshop. I can jump
through a few hoops and fix the problem by renaming the files and
manually adding the tif extension but that's a pain. Anyone have any
suggestions for getting Vuescan back to saving my tif files as tif
files?

Simply specifing <filename>.tif in the TIFF file name box (output tab)
doesn't help?

He say's it *does* help, but is painful.

Brian, what version?

It was version 8.1 I believe. I've now upgraded to the current version
of Vuescan (8.10?) and everything is fine again.
