Problem running Whiteboard - any advice?

D

D.D.

I can't get this function to operate. I am able to send an
invitation over the Internet to another Windows XP user
running an uptodate version Windows Messenger. That person
can then reply by accepting my invitation. But them,
absolutely nothing happens. The Whiteboard function never
starts. I have tried numerous times with the same (lack
of) result. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and
does anyone have suggestions as to how to fix it?

Thanks!

Greetings DD,

To fix this, assuming the Windows installation is in
C:\Windows (if it's not, you'll have to edit the drive letter in the file in Notepad before
running), just run this .reg file, reboot and it should work again:

Thanks much, I ran the reg file you sent, both on my
machine and on the PC of someone I wanted to use a
whiteboard with, but it still didn't work. Yes, the
relevant files, e.g. rtcshare.exe, are in the
Windows/system32 directory. I am running Windows Messenger
6.2. ANy other ideas? thanks!
