Problem reconfiguring network

Guest

Hi,

I bought a new computer set up a home network to connect it with my old
computer. My old computer connects directly to internet via a DSL and shares
this connection with other computers on my LAN. The new computer use that
connection to connect to internet. I used the network setup wizard and every
thing works well.

Now, I want to change the setup so that the new computer connects directly
to the internet and that other computers use that connection. I can run the
setup wizard on the new computer to setup that new configuration. The problem
is that I cannot setup the connection to the internet on the new computer.
When I use the create connection wizard for that purpose, it says that the
connection already exists but I cannot access that connection in order to
modify it or delete it.

What should I do to reconfigure my home network the way I want?

Thank you.

Disable Internet Connection Sharing on the old computer first. Then,
you can enable Internet Connection Sharing on the new computer.

If that doesn't solve the problem, please reply to this message in the
news group (not by E-mail) with more information to help other people
understand the problem:

1. Which Wizard is giving the error message on the new computer: the
New Connection Wizard, or the Network Setup Wizard?

2. If it's the New Connection Wizard, what type of connection are you
trying to create?

3. What is the complete and exact text of the error message?
