Problem Pop-ups

This is really starting to bug me!

On start up two boxes have started appearing, one says:-
Unhandled exception :C0000005 At Address 100016b8 when I
close it another pops up saying Promulgate Universal has
encountered a problem and needs to close.

The other says Windows cannot find C:\WINDOWS\winsys,exe'
with instructions to search for the file.

How can I make this stop? Is it likely to be causing me
problems? because lately I have been unable to burn
music/photo CD's.

With reference to 'winsys.exe' - your system has been infected by the 'W32.Kwbot.D.Worm' - probably best to try and get rid of that first:

download and run spybot

Hi Charlotte,

Promulgate Universal: refers to a spyware which accompanies with Kazaa or
similar applications. So run Ad-Aware scan (download it from
www.lavasoftusa.com)

As for the winsys error, its a virus. Update the Antivirus software an scan
the unit. In most cases, the virus might have been removed, but the entry
persist in the startup. So, disable it using MSConfig (Click Start > Run >
MSConfig >Startup tab)
