problem on signing in live messenger

Hello,
I have used messanger.
I have upgraded from 4.7 to 8.0
When signing in I get the error message : 80072efd
(At home ISP, and at work ISP).
Sometimes I succeed signing in.
I don't understand why this sometimes work and sometimes doesn't.
I have tried to get the previous version.
When first I have downgrade from version 8 to 4.7 I succeeded signing in,
but the next time I have tried signing in - I got the same error, even at
4.7 version : 80072efd.

Now I have the version 8.0.

What may be the problem ?

I Have the same problem, also. i could sign in three days ago, but now it
simply won't sign in. If anyone knows how to fix the problem, please let me
know!!??

Same problem here too.

error code 80072efd and also error code 8007274C showing no connectivity.

Ran all dll. files / zip files / cleared caches and checked all security
setup as directed with no luck. Please HELP!!!

HI..

Here is something new, but I think it is the way of the future..

I have recently, armed! my netgear router. Now all ports BLOCKED! with only
a few (12) open, that allows the pc to run fine.. I haVE THE LIST OF PORTS
TO OPEN, IF YOU NEED THEM, ANYONE!

But I have my limitations, so far I cannot get AOL, Messenger, or Outlook to
work proberly, apart from the usual ports 25 110 587 5190-5193 so on..

Can anyone help?
