Problem of MAPI32.DLL is Corrupt

I had successfully installed Microsoft Office on my laptop, a brand new
Lenovo X60, but have not been able to run Microsoft Outlook successfully. I
keep getting the below error message:
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. MAPI32.DLL is corrupt or the wrong
version. This could have been caused by installing other messaging software.
PLease re-install Outlook."

I have even re-installed Microsoft Outlook and the entire Microsoft Office
but this has still not solved the problem as described above.

Locate MAPI32.DLL and rename it to .old. You might need to do this in
Windows Safe Mode. After this run a repair on Office and try again
