Problem minimizing

I have a problem with windows xp proffecional. The
taskbar doesn't show the open windows and when minimized
the windows are lost. I noticed tha when I right click on
the taskbar it covered by quick launch show it says open
folder even if i right click in an empty area. When i
close quick lauch toolbar then the taskbar dissapears. I
don't know what is wrong this just came out of nowhere
today. I've got norton running all the time updated and i
have firewall so i suppose it's a bug or smth pressing
alt+tab the windows reappear so it's smth with the
taskbar. Is there a solution to this? Thanks
