Problem losing color after renaming color categories in Outlook 20

Hi,

I'm on a Microsoft Exchange Server, and am trying to set up a new calendar
using color categories. After renaming the categories, the color in my view
is fine, but all the people who I've shared my calendar with have no color.
If I change it back to the original name (i.e. "red category, blue
category"), the color returns to their calendar view. Any suggestions on how
to resolve? Thanks so much!
 
Is it a calendar in your mailbox, or are you using one in a public folder?

It's not one I created in a public folder. If I copy it to a public folder,
will that resolve the color category problem?
 
No, it wouldn't. But it should work with a shared mailbox. See, if this
helps: Right click the top folder of the mailbox, and click "Update to color
categories".
