Problem installing update

Each afternoon a shield-like icon in my desktray tells me that there's a
Windows update (or updates) waiting to be installed.

I click on it, and the updates program goes to work.

But consistently lately I've been getting this message: 'Updates were
unable to be succesfully installed. Security Update for Flash Player
(KB913433).'

This has continued, even after I downloaded and installed the latest
version of Flash Player.

Can somebody help, please?

Thanks - Ken

Please check http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913433 for a workaround.

Have a nice day :-)

My day has turned out rotten, sorry!

Part of the instructions re the workaround say:
Click the plus sign next to the update, and then click to select the Don’t show me this update again check box.

Unfortunately, I can't see any plus sign next to the update.

Also, I was thinking of removing Flash Player from my computer. But
Flash Player isn't listed in Add/Remove Programs, nor can I find
'UninstFl.exe' in any of my Flash folders.

Expletive!

YOU have a nice day for me, Kristan!

Thanks - Ken

Although it's far from clear on the site, I'm told that the plus sign is
what you get when you use the Windowns Download tool. Unfortunately, I
use the Mozilla Download tool, and there's no plus sign there.

Maybe I should post this as a separate request?!

Okay, I'm off to do that.

Thanks again - Ken
