I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE WINDOWS XP UPGRADE FOR MY HOME.
INSTALLATION AND EVERYTHING WENT FINE BUT WHEN I TRIED TO
UPGRADE MY VERSION OF MESSENGER (ver 6.2) I GET THE
FOLLOWING MESSAGE.
The feature you are trying to use is on a network
resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a
folder containing the installation package 'MsnMsgs.msi'
in the box below.
Use feature from:
c:\windows\TEMP\|XP000.TMP\
WHEN I CLICK OK, I GET A NEW BOX WITH THIS MESSAGE:
The path:
'c:\windows\TEMP\|XP000.TMP\MsnMsgs.msi' cannot be
found. Verify that you have access to this location and
try again, or try to find the installation
package 'MsnMsgs.msi' in a folder from which you can
install the product MSN Messenger 6.2.
THEN NOTHING AFTER THAT. IF I DON'T CLICK OK AND JUST
TRY TO CANCEL OUT I GET THIS MESSAGE.
MSN Messenger setup has failed with error code: '1612'.
Please go to the MSN Messenger Website and download the
software from there.
I DO THAT AND GET THE WHOLE PROBLEM OVER AGAIN. WHAT CAN
I DO TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?
