Problem in INstallation

Dear Sir
I m gettting one error message name Error 1312: Cannot
create directory.. I got this error while installing
Office 2000 in XP.. I have Office 2000 before which get
corupted beacuse of some error...
I m getting message Cannot create directory
D:\windows\Installer{00000406........}
I check that there is no directory like this even i made
the hidden files visible...
Please help me
Please answer my question beacuse I am not able to
install Office any more,.,,

Check with the Office groups for this one Suneet.

You might try to run scandisk and check for disk problems then run defrag.
Also double check what drive your installing it to and make sure it's not
pointing to a CD, DVD or removable drive by mistake. Oh and check the CD
it's self could a smudege or scratch on it preventing it from being read
correctly. The last thing you could try is copying the CD to your harddrive
and install from hard drive.
