Problem in formatting while copy-paste

I want to copy answer of question 4c from suggested answers and make it
answer no. 7 of my service tax answers.

I am copying solution of one question from one word file i.e. 04 nov sug to
another word file i.e. Service sector ans 23-6-09
but my problem is that as soon as I paste the answer, formatting of both,
other answers of service sector file and the answer being copied changes.

Further in similar cases, answer being copied use to gets bifurcated in
several pages and I am not able to write anything in remaining part of that
page.

Please help me

The problem is that neither of the documents has been properly formatted
using paragraph styles. Therefore, you may find it easier to simply change
formatting manually as needed after you have pasted.

You could try pasting as "Unformatted Text" (via the Paste Special dialog
box), but note that Word will then adjust formatting to the settings at the
insertion point in the target document (which may or may not give the
desired results).

In the long run, reformatting the documents with properly defined paragraph
styles will make editing a lot easier.
