Problem in Excel

If I have a couple of values over time, say 100 days. But these are
not equal over time. Maybe I have measure on day 1, 7, 20, 24, 30, 50,
55, 60, 80, 90 etc.

If I now feed these in Excel it will not be right because the values
aren't measured on day 5,10,15,20,25 etc. Any good suggestion how to
fix this in Excel 2002 so the diagram look fair to the values?

Use a Scatter (X-Y) chart, with the day numbers (1, 7, 20 etc.) as the
X-values.

Your question is not clear. Are you concerned that the spacing of
carted values is not correct, or that the labels on the x-axis do not
match the actual days?

Either problem can be dealt with by selecting the appropriate chart type.

"Line" charts are misleadingly named. They have nothing to do with
whether you want to connect your data points with a line, and everything
to do with how x-values are treated. In an "XY (Scatter)" chart, y is
plotted against x, where x is considered a numeric scale (correct
spacing), but the axis labels may occur at other x-values than actually
observed. In a "Line" chart, y is plotted against 1,2,3,... (to force
equal spacing), and optional x values (if supplied at all) are merely
category labels for the x-axis.
