problem importing Excel into outlook

I am trying to import my addresses from excel into outlook. I keep getting
the error message that the excel translator was unable to recognize the file,
though it is an excel file. I also tried to import by saving the excel file
in the .csv format and got the same error message - translation error

Dory I'm having the same problem that you had, did you ever find a solution?
I would greatly appreciate a contact back on what you found out.
