Problem getting outlook 2007 to load

After installing the Beta 2 version of 0utlook 2007, on launching, the app
goes through a configuration routine and fails each time after it gets to
'importing user settings', indicating that 'Business Contact Manager
encounterd a problem and needs to close'. Since the 2007 installation wiped
out the Outlook 2003 version, I am without any Outlook. I use Business
Contact Manager in Outlook 2003.

Can anyone give me advice on either correcting the problem in 2007, or
reinstalling 2003

Thanks and Regards

You can have only one version of Outlook installed at a time. BCM 2003 is
preventing Outlook 2007 to launch succesfully because it is incompatible
with Outlook 2007. Uninstall BCM 2003 and create a new mail profile in
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...

To go back to Outlook 2003 uninstall Outlook/Office 2007 and reinstall
Outlook/Office 2003 and it is also recommended that you then recreate your
mail profile.

Thanks for the advice. I uninstalled 2003 and 2007 loads, but without
Business Contact Manager. How do I get BCM to load? Do I need to reinstall
2007 Outlook?

JimB

BCM 2007 is a separate download and installation. It is in your program
overview you got when registering for the BETA.

well, I keep getting closer. I have successfully loaded BCM, however now my
backup file (with an .MSBCM extension) will not import, as the new file
format is .BCM. Is there any way to import from my old business contact
files?

Thanks for your help and patience.
