problem exporting after converting from 97

Hi I have just converted a 97 db file to access 2003 and now when I try to
export the thing it tells me I cant because its read only, however when you
go to properties on file it is not read only selected any help ?

What is the name of the file you are trying to export to?
By default, you can only export to files like .txt, .xls
etc. .doc is not valid.
