Hi guys,

I wonder if someone can help me. I'm hoping it's a simple fix. I've
noticed recently that when I try and download ANY file online, be it
large or small, it simply downloads in about half a second.

Then when I go to click it, it says the file isn't a valid win32
application, even though it happens even for items downloaded from
microsoft.com and the like.

Has anyone come across this before?

My ISP seems fine with it, as other computers on my network work
perfectly with the same files.

Normaly this mean that the file corrupted somewhere along the download
process, if you have a browser or a protection software that think the pop-up
download window is a pop-ups then it will interrrupt the download render it(
corrupt).
Another to consider is scan for malwares and Viruses on yuor system by
runing either a scan online or by up2date anti-virus installed on yuor
machine.
= Run a disk clean up then try the download and see if you will be
successful this time.
HTH.

OK, I've just wiped and reinstalled the operating system and it's still
doing this. Could this be a hardware problem?

Hi Cat please when you reply, reply with the original Message keep thread
flowing, for anybody to come and see your post, can keep up with the whole
scenario and if they can help they will.

Now could you please tell me on what applications installed and what and how
your connection to the Internet.
Your ISP if provide you with software what it is (are), some acceleration
software can contribute to this issue,anti-virus, motherboard need to be
updated it's driver..etc.
Thank you.
