problem detected. must restart

everytime i logg on to windows XP recently, it always pop
up the blue screen w/ problem detected so the computer is
shut down to avoid damage. the only way i dont get this is
if i use safe mode. It just started to do this after i
installed the demo of starskin to use themes for windows
XP. so basically, i logg on, blue screen pops up, i hit
the power button, restart, f8, safe mode. also, i am using
sony vaio pcv-rs 431x. i also updated things from the sony
website recently. anyways, thanx. again, my email is
