problem bublishing file and folders

When I publish web pages, it is quick and with no problem.
When I publish folders, it seems to run for ever and often unsuccessfully.
(For example: I published a web page with a picture gallery, and I need to
publish also the folder with the photos and the folder with the thumbnails)

Sometimes, while FP is still in a process of publishing the folder, I can
enter the website with IE and see that all photos are there.
In this stage, if I stop the publishing process, the web site will function
o.k.

Why do I have this problem ?

I'd just let it finish what it is doing. If you're on dialup, the slow
speed is understandable. Perhaps optimising your images in your image
editor would help reduce the file size and therefore speed up the publishing
process.

I use an ADSL and the photos I publish are minimised to about 20K each.
and yey, publishing a file or folder never ends !
