Hi
I have winXP SP2. When I open the Network place and click on a Win98
computer (not a shortcut created by WinXP), I get a message saying that I
can't access this computer. However, if I do \\ComputerName, then it lets me
get in. I also have another win98 computer but it's ok when I click on its
icon in the Network place. How can I fix this problem? Or I did somethign
wrong on the Win98 troubled computer? Thanks in advance.

You may not have installed the "Client for Microsoft Network protocol in the
98 machines network properties. Another workaround would be to create an
ID/pass on the 98 that matches the ID/pass used on xp.
