Guys, I have been using Proxomitron for years, but recently
changed to Privoxy and I think it is better. The default filters
work very well, and since it is an open source project it will
continue to have up-to-date blocking systems. It does a great job
of scrubbing junk from the web without breaking the formatting.
It's easy to keep personal filters separate from the default
filters, and there is a very effective web-based system for seeing
how the filters work and editing them on the fly.

It also works extremely well combined with Tor for anonymous
surfing
