I have seen this article:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314486
Is it possible in Windows XP, on a peer-to-peer network, to change
the printer port by running some form of this command:
Usage: rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry [options] [@commandfile]
Could you give me an exact form of the command to change the printer port?
When I try it, I get an error message:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /r "LPT1:" /n "Star SP317"
Error message: Operation could not be completed.
I need to run this command:
mode LPT1:=COM2:
It cannot run while the port is being held by a printer.
