I have Microsoft Office 2007 and using Windows vista. Evertime I try to print
something from Word, the message on the bottome reads, "Connecting to printer
press ESC to cancel". I have waited as long as 15 mins and nothing happens.
It shows a message at top of page "Microsoft Word is not responding". I can't
figure this out. Have a new printer! OH! I am working off of a Home Network.
Everything else works. Anybody else having this problem

Yes I have the latest driver. Just checked. It also says at top of page
"Microsoft Word-Not Responding".

Have you made *any* changes to your system since it last worked properly?

No. No changes. Now I can print from other programs. Don't know if that is
any significance.

Look I really need some help here! This is getting very aggrevating! I paid
good money for a product and I cannot use it to its full potential! ALL of
the office products lock up when trying to print! Have updated driver! FAQ's
do not help-NO related concerns. I have reviewed all settings and cannot see
anything that might be wrong or that may help. AGAIN, I am using a laptop on
a home network-printer is on desktop. Desktop uses HP-office products work
fine. Laptop uses VISTA-office products do not work. Now I know I can't be
THE only person with a problem like this. Please help or direct me where I
can get help. Thank you.

Do you have the printer driver installed locally (on the laptop)? This is
necessary even if the printer is on the network.

No I do not. Did not know I needed it on the laptop also. Will download
driver and try again. Thank you very much.
