Printing Speed in Powerpoint 2007

I have just upgraded to Office 2007. Like the new facilities of PowerPoint
but cant live with the printing speed. When I send to print, for an average
size of presentation - say 500kb it can take 15 minutes to send to printer,
spool etc before it stats to print out. Any ideas why? Do I need to change
printing settings somewhere?

If you're using the new text and other effects that make 2007 so attractive,
that may be the culprit.

What the others said.

And also...

Office File Button | PPT Options | Advanced. In the Print section, make sure
you don't have "high quality" checked. Or maybe check it and see if it
helps. :) I don't even know what "align transparent graphics at printer
resolution" means, but I'd be tempted to see if that does anything helpful,
too.
