Printing select text

I cannot figure out how to print selected text at a specific place on the
page in Word 2007.
In Word Perfect, say I type 20 lines on a paper, then I want to add a 21st
line. I can open the document, type line 21, highlight it, put in the paper
with the other 20 lines and it will print the 21st line below.
When I tried that in Word 2007, it printed the selected text at the very top
of the page??

Yes. If you tell Word to print just the selection, it starts at the top of the
page. This is how it is designed to work. The text flow on the page is
recalculated pretty much all the time, including when you print. And it starts
with the first thing and works its way through to the end. As far as Word is
concerned, where something is on the page isn't an absolute thing; it's all
relative.

Thank you for your help. Now I know if I have to add something to the bottom
of the page, I'll use Word Perfect though I absolutely dislike that program.

Instead of doing that, proceed as you have been doing but instead of
printing just the added text, select all the text on the page that has
already been printed, format it as Font Color: White, and then print the
page. After you've printed it, select the white text and press Ctrl+Spacebar
to remove the direct formatting.
