Printing Problem

M

Mike

I recently installed Windows 2000 Professional on my
computer. I completed the reformat of the hard drive new
install procedure. Everything is working fine with the
exception of my printer. I have an HP Deskjet 694C
connected to the parallel port (LPT1). When I boot up my
computer and attempt to print, the monitor light on the
printer flashes, but will not print. If I go to the
Add/Remove Hardware option on the Control Panel, remove
the ECP Printer Port (LPT1), and then reinstall the
hardware (plug and play automatically reinstalls the
printer port), the printer works correctly. I have to go
through this process each time I reboot my system.

Help!

I am having thesame problem, see 'Losing my plotter'.
Please keep me posted on this situation. I obviously have
not found a solution and will let you know if I get it
worked out.
