printing .prn files

How can I print a .prn file in Windows XP? I tried using
the DOS command "Copy filename lpt1 /b" from the command
prompt but that didn't work. Do I need to enable the
printer for DOS printing?

From the command prompt type:

copy filename.prn \\systemname\printersharename

This assumes the printer is shared, if you want a Windows program to do this
we have an inexpensive product on our web site called FRP.
