printing monthly calendar

When printing a monthly calendar, the current month and
the next month are printed in the upper right corner.
That's great except it would be more useful to have the
previous and next months to print. Is this a bug or an
option setting?

Neither -- it's a "feature" (a.k.a. it's by design). Microsoft
apparently doesn't want us to dwell on the past ;-)

You might want to take a look at some free Word templates that use your
Outlook calendar data to create a calendar in Word, which you can then
customize to your liking. I personally use My Outlook Calendar and am very
pleased with it -- and it will print the previous month's thumbnail calendar
instead of the current month. Links to these templates can be found here:

Outlook has always had that limitation. A workaround is to use one of the
Word cal3endar printing templates from
