I always get an error when I try to use a shared XP printer on my own XP system. Both computers are in the same domain and both have Windows XP. One has a printer connected to it that is shared. The other can't make a connection tot the shared printer. It says there is a policy problem, but the users are allowed to connect to network printers.

What is the exact error message? My hunch is it is more specific than
"policy problem".

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Just a follow up, Frederic,

The printer attached to the first computer is called a local printer.
The other computer should list the printer as a network printer.

The Network Wizard should do all the work for you as long as the computers
are talking to each other.
Sometimes it takes a few minutes to find it.
