printing from email

When I receive email attachments and open them, sometimes
the message is only two inches wide. I am unable to
change it. Is this because the sender did not set up the
correct format or is it possible for me to change it to
say a standard letter size page?

What about copying/pasting the message text to some word processor, say Word
or WordPerfect, and checking for hard returns in the messages?

If you find any, just delete them, except at the actual end of paragraphs.
