What version of Internet Explorer do you have installed? Have you gone to
Windows Update and installed all of the required updates?

Does it only happen on one specific message or any HTML message?

Hi, thanks for your response, IE is 6.0.2900.2180 OS is xp Home upto date
with updates. The problem occurs with all HTML E-mails. Plain text are no
problem.
Hope you can help.

Sorry, I tried this and also a repair installation from Office set up and
then a full reinstallation, before throwing the problem to the forum.

What version of outlook do you have installed? Have you updated the
most recent office service packs? They have SP2 out for Office 2003 now.

Unfortunately I'm out of ideas; other than making sure that you're fully
patched. You may have to reinstall Internet Explorer. Do you have any
anti-virus software installed? You might try temporarily disabling it, as a
test, and see if the problem goes away.

Well, many thanks. I've tried everything I can think of and everything you
have come up with. I have ubinstalled Office and re-installed and it is just
the same. I installed it on my laptop and it all works OK. ANYONE ELSE got
any ideas.

Hi Jim,

I am having the exact same problem and looking for a solution. I have gone
through the whole process of uninstalling and reinstalling everything
including all updates and SP2. Nothing works. Did you get a solution?

Have you tried this fix. It works for some people.
START / RUN / regsvr32 ole32.dll

Good luck

Hi Jim,

I was also having another problem. Using Microsoft Word as my email editor
in Outlook, upon hitting the 'send' button, I was getting an 'Interface not
registered' message and was unable to send my message. Going through Office
Discussion Groups I found the following fix:

In Start-> Run then type; Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

This command (much like the one you suggest me) resolved both my issues at
once. I can now use Word as my email editor again and print my email messages
like I used to.

Thanks for your response. I find these discussion groups very helpful.

Regards,

Ivan

I'm having a similar problem. I don't use IE very much. I use
AOL and their browser 99% of the time. I am running XP.
But periodically I get the "runtiime error" message and the question about
debugging. The various specifics include:
Line : 1
Error: Syntax error 121
Line: I forgot
Error: Expected ')'
Line: 32
Object required
I'm not about to un/reinstall Office as it was loaded when I bought the
ThinkPad. Any other ideas?
