Hi all,

I need to printout a particular web-page .. However when I look at the page
in preview mode I see I will 'miss' some data on the right-hand side of the
page .... Is there an easy way of fitting all text to a single page? I
thought by reducing text size I might be able to do it - but altering text
size has absolutely no visible impact ...?
Any ideas?

thx,

Don-

This is a real problem with some Web pages and is caused by the coding on
the site.
The first thing to try is choosing a smaller text size at View | Text Size.
If that won't get it on the page you will have to print in Landscape.

I have always used landscape mode as Frank suggests.
I found a site recently even more disconcerting as it appears OK in
preview mode but still cuts a bit off in print.
I will try this when I get a chance. Take your chances or wait a while
until I test it.

Hi, Don. If Frank and Alan's suggestions don't fit the bill (but they
always do <g>) you could also get a screen capture program and then print
from it. SnagIt is a great one: http://www.techsmith.com

Hi Don,

Did you ever try this?
IE Fixed-Width Printing:
http://www.visiontech.ltd.uk/software/index.html

I installed it and tried it on a site that looks OK on the screen but
was chopped off in Print and Print Preview
http://www.women.tas.gov.au/notices/read.php3?id=519
It printed correctly using the Fit-Width Print button (which you have
to add in View-Toolbars-Customize) and it displayed correctly in a
preview by holding the CTRL key while clicking Fit-Width Print.

If you want to supply the url of the page you are concerned with, then
I can try it and let you know if you haven't yet installed the
control.
