I downloaded a document from the net or an email
attachment (can't remember which)and for some reason i
think I directed the program to "print to file" which is
how i think i ended up with a file with a .prn
extension. Now I want to view and print it but windows
does not recognize it and keeps asking me how to open
it. i can't find any suitable options. Does anyone have
any ideas? i think it may just be a hp printer language
file or an email attachment from outlook express, but i
can't figure out how to navigate w/in windows nt to do
what i want. any help appreciated...

Hi,
Try opening a command prompt (Start->Run, then type cmd).

In the command prompt, type
Copy FILENAME \\PCNAME\SHAREDPRINTERNAME

Where Filename is the full path to the file, PCName is the name of your
computer, and SharedPrinterName is the share name of your printer (your
printer must be shared).

This will print the file.
