printing 2 sections per piece of paper

I have a report that lists instructors & the classes they have taught. Each
detail section ends up being a different height based on the number of
classes taught. The report is grouped by instructor & I always get 2 groups
per page or piece of paper. What I'd like to do is be able to take the paper
to the paper cutter & cut down the middle of the sheet; however, some groups
start higher than others because of the detail section always changing. Is
there a way to set the size of the group so that the 2nd group on the page
always starts half-way down the sheet? This would allow me to cut 8 pieces
of paper at a time rather than 1 at a time.

This could work if you removed the classes records from the main report and
place them in a subreport. Add the subreport to the detail section of the
main report and set the detail height and subreport height to about 1/2 page
and don't allow it to shrink or grow.
