Printer selection for labels

J

John

Hi

In word xp when I select Tools->Letters and Mailings->Envelopes and Labels
menu and then Labels tab, type my label address then there is no way to
select a printer at this point. Print simply prints to the default printer.
Is there a way around this i.e. to be bale to select a specific printer for
the label? I am doing single labels.

Thanks

Regards

Don't enter the address into the label dialog and leave the setting at Full
page of the same label so that the New Document button remains enabled.
Click on this button and a new document will be created with a table on it
that conforms to the selected labels (that's all labels are in Word). Click
on the Show gridlines item on the Tables menu if you do not see it. Then
enter the details into the label that is in the position that you want to
use and then you can use File>Print in the ordinary manner.

The alternative is to change the active printer before you use the label
tool - from the print dialog (or by macro).
