printer reload

tring to reload my printer ( it's a Dell A 940 ) using the provided cd i keep
getting " print monitor unknown " and it quits the process. whewww i'am at a
loss. i was told by dell it's something in my operating system , but i've no
clue as to what it would be or how to correct it. any help would be
thankful.
 
From the Control Panel, Admin Tools, Services.... make sure the LEXbce
server is set to automatic. If it's not started, manually start it, then
try the installation again.
