'Printer Port Logical Interface' prevents standby

L

Lance

Machine is an IBM X21 laptop running XP.
Attempting to either suspend or hibernate returns the
message: "The device driver for the 'Printer Port Logical
Interface' device is preventing the maching from entering
standby. Please close all applications and try again. If
the problem persisists you may need to update this
driver." Shutdown still works.
I am unable to find the driver and I am at a loss as to
how to pursue. Can anyone suggest:
1) where might I find the 'printer port logical
interface' driver?
2) How might I go about updating it? or otherwise
addressing this problem?
Thanks (also posted in Device Driver Devel)

I have the same problem and found that when I removed the last printer driver that was loaded, the problem went away -- can I try and load the driver elsewhere to prevent this from happening

Thank you.

I have had this problem and put up with it for a year now. I have an H
3100 All-in-one [print/scan/fax] connected to the Parallel port and a
HP Photoprint 7550 connected via USB.

Is there an easy way to disable or update the print drivers t
eliminate this problem? I'm not sure I know how to unload a prin
driver and get back to where I am

thx'
