I run windows xp on a Dell w/ p4. I can't print because
my OS seems to keep putting my printer on pause.
I somehow figured out how to unpause but it keeps
defaulting back to pause.

How to I keep it "unpaused"?

If it's connected via a USB port, it's probably the power management
settings for the USB port itself .... by default they are set to turn off to
save power.

Go into the Device Manager, scroll down to Universal Serial Bus
Controllers... click on the + to expand the tree.... go into each USB Root
Hub... click on the Power Management tab and UNCHECK the box to turn off the
power.
