printer pagesize list in form only shows 1

I have just enter the microsoft example
Changing printer settings for a report in Access
But in the pagesize dropdown list all I can get is a 1 not a list of pagesizes

Review your printer's driver installation, you may need to re-install it

The driver appears to be installed correctly, I get the same result when I
run the code on another computer, I get the list of printers, but only the
number 1 in the pagesize list.
