Printer instance won't delete

WinXP Pro SP1a

The Printers and Faxes applet states Deleting - Offline in the Status
column. However, upon reboot, the printer instance that I want to delete
still remains. No matter how many times I right-click > Delete on that
printer icon it will always remain.

Anyone know how to delete a printer via the registry?

Fixed. First, in the Printer and Faxes window I selected the undeletable
printer icon. Then under the Printer Tasks heading I selected 'See what's
printing'. Then I saw that there was an old aborted document listed there.
So next I canceled that document, which enabled me to delete that extra
instance of my only printer.
