Printer: how to chech "out of paper" etc?

Does anyone know how to check if the (default) printer has some problems
like "Use printer offline" or Paperjam, or out of paper?

Any status on the printer would be appreciated.

(I don't need a network printer, as the printer I'm using is connected via
USB).

Any sample vb.net (or c#) would be appreciated.

Maybe this is possible by using WMI and the 'Win32_Printer' class:
