Printer Error after 98 upgrade to 2000 Professional

My HP 970Cse printer was working fine on 98. I upgraded to
2000 Professional and now I cannot print. I have a message
error stating printer error to Port 1. I troubleshoot and
Windows said I have a BIOS conflict.

Has anyone ever dealt with something of this nature? If
so, how did you resolve it?
 
Hi Jon,

after you have upgraded to 2k Professional did you install
the
printer drivers properly ?
try to look for the DLLs installed in
\WINNT\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3

BIOS conflict ?it may be IRQ conflict, try to set the IRQ
assignment as auto in BIOS.
